The Great MonArch Migration Event (in partnership with the City of St. Louis) and The Great Mississippi River Cleanup will highlight the importance of caring for our public lands. All community events will be held on Saturday, September 29, and are free and open to all ages.
The Great Mississippi River Cleanup: Saturday, Sept. 29, 9 a.m. to noon
The National Park Service invites members of the community to help beautify the St. Louis Riverfront by joining in a riverbank litter pickup. Participants are to meet at the bottom of the Grand Staircase, located below the Gateway Arch along Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. Bags and gloves will be provided. Registration is required at https://form.jotform.com/82283693734163. Participants will receive a free T-shirt, breakfast bagels and coffee.
Yoga Under the Arch: Saturday, Sept. 29, 9 to 10 a.m.
Yoga session for all ages under the Arch, presented by Yoga Buzz.

Monarch butterflies are heading south for the winter, and the National Park Service and the City of St. Louis are celebrating their journey with the Great MonArch Migration Event. At this festive event, pollinator experts from across the region, including the Missouri Botanical Garden, Saint Louis Zoo and the Missouri Department of Conservation, will lead monarch-themed activities, such as offering pollinator crafts and games, making milkweed seed balls and insect hotels, and sharing monarch butterfly gardening tips.
Experience our hometown national park in a new way with a route past Kiener Plaza and the Old Courthouse and through the beautiful grounds of Gateway Arch National Park.
