ST. LOUIS (December 4, 2019)—The Gateway Arch Park Foundation is proud to welcome Amanda Goldsmith, Esq. as its new Director of Development. With a background in development, law, and secondary and higher education, Goldsmith will bring leadership, advocacy and passion to the mission of the Foundation. Most recently, she served as the Director of Advancement at Christian Brothers College High School, and prior to that, as the Director of Development at Saint Louis University School of Law.
“The Arch is an iconic monument and a true testament to St. Louis and its role in the country’s expansion” Goldsmith said. “It is an honor to be a part of the Foundation whose mission is ensuring the Arch and its neighboring public spaces are true community gathering places for those of us who call St. Louis home and the visitors we welcome, both now and in the future.”
As Director of Development, her goal is to raise awareness for the Foundation, its mission, and opportunities for financial growth and support from throughout the St. Louis region so that the park is not only a tourist attraction but also a place for all to come together to celebrate our community.
“Amanda is a strong leader with the skills, dedication and passion needed to continue moving the Foundation forward in support of St. Louis’ urban national park,” said Ryan McClure, executive director of the Gateway Arch Park Foundation. “She will be a key part of ensuring the Gateway Arch and its grounds are a vital, active, welcoming, well-supported resource for generations to come.”
Originally from rural Kentucky, Goldsmith has proudly called St. Louis home the past 16 years. Her favorite thing about Gateway Arch National Park is that there is always something new to discover – from learning a piece of our region’s history in the museum exhibits to seeing the growth of our city when taking in the view from the top.
